We are seeking an experienced Sr Staff Accountant to join our dynamic and growing organization in Worcester, MA. This role will support our upper management in managing financial operations, analysis & planning, and office tasks. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized automotive professional to work closely with executive leadership and contribute to the company’s success.

  • Perform daily accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Provide data analysis support to upper management.
  • Handle payroll processing and posting activities.
  • Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for management.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate account records.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, tax laws, and industry regulations.
  • Update and monitor cash flow statements and forecasts.
  • Assist with financial projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners on behalf of the CFO.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration across store locations.
  • Track and report company expenses and intercompany accounts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity in handling sensitive data.
  • Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or financial reporting roles is a plus.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  2. 5+ years of GL accounting
  3. Experience with ERP systems
  4. Payroll experience preferred (Paycom currently used)
  5. Highly skilled in Excel (pivot tables, lookups etc)
  6. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  7. Experience with journal entries, accounting principles, and AP/AR
  8. Good tenure with limited movement
