Responsibilities

Team Introduction: TikTok's Content Ecosystem team is responsible for the health and prosperity of content users and creators to improve DAU in the long term. Our team deeply dives into the following fields: tracking the whole content ecosystem and finding potential challenges and opportunities; cooperating closely with the RD team on model recognition, content understanding, and algorithms, targeting to balance the traffic in different formats, optimize traffic distribution, content diversifications, creator experience of moderation, user experience of interactions, and more problems. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below: Monday, May 12 Monday, May 19 Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26) Monday, June 9 Monday, June 23 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Responsibilities: - Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for mobile and web-based products and platforms. - Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products. - Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers, while maintaining team health. - Work closely with various teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones. - Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer productivity and enhance user satisfaction. - Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics. - Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Foundational understanding of product management or product design, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships. - Experience analyzing data sets as part of academic projects, coursework, or internships, with the ability to draw insights and make data-informed recommendations. - Experience gathering and translating requirements through academic group projects or internships, with the ability to contribute to the development of product solutions. - Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools, methodologies, and design principles, gained through coursework, projects, or relevant experience. - Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, group projects, or internships. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals. - Experience going through a full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution. - Proven to be enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment in which the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $55- $55.


Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
