Job Title: Practice Manager

Location: Southern, New Jersey

Reports To: General Manager / Physician Partners

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a large, fast-paced surgical practice for the Southern Region of New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in healthcare management, capable of ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee all administrative and clinical functions of the practice to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Supervise and support clinical and non-clinical staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor patient flow, appointment scheduling, and provider productivity to optimize efficiency.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and expense controls in collaboration with finance teams.
  • Analyze financial metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee billing and collections processes, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.

Compliance & Quality:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives and risk management protocols.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulatory updates.

Patient Experience & Communication:

  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service and patient-centered care.
  • Address patient complaints and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, and patients to foster a cohesive team environment.

Strategic Planning & Growth:

  • Collaborate with physicians and leadership on business development strategies.
  • Assist in the integration of new technologies, services, and providers.
  • Lead special projects such as practice expansion, EMR upgrades, and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-site medical practice management, preferably in multi-specialty or surgical setting.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Familiarity with Southern New Jersey healthcare networks and payer environments is a plus.
