  What will I be doing?
  As a Laundry Mechanic Apprentice, you would learn to diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure the efficient operation of commercial laundry equipment - washers, dryers, folders, & other machinery - in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Observing and assisting experienced mechanics to develop skills and knowledge in the trade; working alongside experienced mechanics to learn and contribute to repairs.
• Performing routine checks, lubrication, and adjustments on laundry equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of hotel laundry equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing malfunctions in equipment by examining, dismantling, and testing machinery; Checking for wear & tear, proper functioning, and identifying potential issues.
• Assisting with scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal equipment performance; Following a schedule to clean, adjust, and maintain equipment.
• Replacing worn or damaged parts, such as bearings, motors, and other components; Ensuring proper lubrication to prevent friction and wear.
• Following safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols, and maintaining a clean & safe work environment.
• Maintaining logs and records of maintenance & repairs.

• Mechanical Aptitude: A natural inclination for working with tools and machinery is crucial.
• Basic Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of basic tools, machinery, and safety practices is helpful.
• Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
• Physical Stamina: The job involves constant walking, climbing of stairs & ladders, standing for extended periods of time, reaching, pushing & pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, and crouching.
• Communication Skills: Clear communication is important for interacting with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the trade and develop expertise is essential.
