Job Summary

Established family owned real estate company seeking a knowledgeable and skilled attorney to serve as in-house counsel. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background in various areas of law, and have experience drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, motions, analyzing cases, utilizing strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle litigation matters effectively. Must be California bar licensed. This position has tremendous room for growth.

Duties

• Provide expert legal counsel
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and other necessary paperwork with precision.
• Negotiate settlements
• Represent company in court proceedings (not trial)

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California bar
• Proven experience in a variety of legal fields including litigation and legal drafting.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
• Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct effective legal research and analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
