Pay Range $16-$26 per hour Job Title: Form Carpenters and Concrete Finishers Location: Charlotte, NC Job Type: Long-Term Project-Based Industries: Commercial, Industrial, and Civil Construction Position Description: Seeking skilled Form Carpenters and Concrete Finishers for long-term project-based work in Charlotte, NC. Join our team and contribute to high-quality commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Form Carpenter Duties: Build forms from wood, metal, plastic, or other materials for concrete footings, slabs, walls, columns, piers, ramps, or steps. Measure, cut, bend, splice, tie, and/or weld rebar and other support materials, placing them within forms according to specifications. Assemble and install prefabricated forms as per specifications. Use hand and power tools, as well as light equipment, to measure, cut, and form materials to specified dimensions. Gather and organize materials, equipment, and supplies for form building projects. Concrete Finisher Duties: Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete. Align forms; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints. Ensure high-quality finishes on all concrete surfaces, achieving the desired texture and appearance. General Duties: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Communicate efficiently and take direction from supervisors. Complete assigned tasks and processes in work teams. Recognize and correct job site hazards, maintaining a clean and safe work area. Adhere to building codes, company, state, and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines. Report any job site and/or employee-related safety violations to both QLM and appropriate supervisory personnel. Perform all roles, responsibilities, and tasks safely, ensuring an accident/incident-free work environment for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc. Knowledge and Skills: Precise measuring and cutting of wood and metal. Proficiency with power tools, basic hand tools, and required PPE. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and reporting with foremen and team members. Consistent focus on safety, productivity, and quality. Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and drawings. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Form Carpenter and/or Concrete Finisher in commercial, industrial, or civil construction. Knowledge of construction site safety practices. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
