Electrical General Superintendent

General Electrical Superintendent
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $90K-$125K (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview
The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple teams effectively. 

We're a specialty trade subcontractor with an electrical division that is doing a lot of new construction for hotels, retirement communities, and multi-family residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily construction operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and field personnel.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, including progress updates and cost tracking.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of new construction experience (hotels, multi-family, retirement communities, mixed-use)
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Superintendent for Electrical new construction projects
  • Proven experience with electrical and lighting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise teams.
  • Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and low-voltage installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
