Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The
Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.
Armed Security Officer Requirements: - 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Basic Computer skills
- High level customer service experience (1+ Years)
- PSR evaluation required
- 1 Year HOA Security experience
- Nevada Driver's License
- Active Guard Card (not provisional)
- Military, law enforcement or armed security experience preferred

Typical Job Duties: - Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
- Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
- Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.
- Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
- Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.
- Monitors surveillance cameras. The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
