Support Staff

Position Overview 

Bluemont Vineyard in Bluemont, VA is looking for individuals to join our support team. 

This is the perfect job for people under 21 and unable to pour wine or those who do not have an interest in serving wine but enjoy being around the food and wine industry. 

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.This fast paced position requires applicants to be able to lift 40 lbs and the ability to multitask. Duties include: stocking wine, clearing tables, washing dishes, food prep, shipping wine, packaging food and stocking clean wine glasses behind the tasting bar. Weekends required. 

Responsibilities 

• Support bar operations by restocking flight baskets, wine glasses and bottles 
• Arrange and maintain clean tables on the lawn and pergolas 
• Bus tables during and after customers are serviced
• Assist in wine shipments 
• Assist with food preparation and packaging
• Expedite food orders to guests
• Exemplify food safety practices 
• Change trash at the end of the evening, or as needed throughout the day 
• Assist in keeping Tasting Room organized and sanitary
• Assist in maintaining a clean environment across the board; parking lot, kitchen, tasting rooms, bathrooms, etc.
• Perform other duties, as required by kitchen or tasting room 

Requirements 

• Available to work at least one weekend day per week 
• Willing to work well with others
• Must be able to able to lift 50lbs & climb stairs 
• Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time 
• Must be able to interact with guests and answer questions they may have
• Must be able to handle pressure with elegance
• Must have presentable presence 
• Work well in a team and communicate with others
