Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 3x12s schedule (4x12s available upon request)
\n• Up to 52 weeks available by request
\n• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
\n• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
\n• Patient ratio: 1:4-5 (goal is 4:1, but consistently work at 5:1 ratio)
\n• EPIC charting system experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Post heart surgery experience required
\n• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical level of care units
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response
\n• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
\n• Activate Rapid Response/Code teams
\n• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration
\n• Manage central/peripheral line care
\n• Administer and manage cardiac drips without titration (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix)
\n• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen delivery, and non-invasive airway management
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients
\n• Work with chest tubes, trachs, PICC lines, and LVADs
\n• May work without CNA support
\n• Remote telemetry with monitors on unit and tele sitting implemented

This is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serving as the flagship facility of a major healthcare system. The facility is the region's only Level I Trauma Center and holds Magnet designation for nursing excellence. It is affiliated with a medical school and features advanced specialty care including a dedicated children's hospital. The hospital is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and provides comprehensive cardiac services with specialized Open Heart/Thoracic PCU/Stepdown units.
