Job Description

Job purpose for Training Specialist:

This person will research, design, develop, and facilitate various training sessions, with a focus in Retail Branch Banking.This position implements new training programs, keep current trainings up to date in partnership with business line leadership and works with employees to deepen their knowledge and develop job skills.

Duties and responsibilities for Training Specialist:

• Design and develop training programs, materials, and content tailored to meet the needs of the business line and trainees on bank systems, sales, products, services, policies, and procedures
• Utilize various delivery methods, such as e-learning, workshops or on-the-job training

• Evaluate training class through surveys, for overall effectiveness and using that information to improve trainings
• Provide a positive, productive and effective learning environment
• Establish and maintain rapport with management
• Provide trainee's performance to his/her manager
• Coordinate remedial training with managers as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Training Specialist:

Experience

Required :

• 2-4 years experience within branch banking as a lead teller or personal banker and/or 2-4 years previous training experience

Preferred :

• 1-3 years previous training experience, preferably technical training

Education

Required:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Preferred :

• Bachelor's Degree in communication, human resources, education or related field and / or certificate in training
