Substitute - Administrator 2025-2026 at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District summary:
This role involves providing temporary administrative coverage in educational leadership positions such as Principal or Assistant Principal. The substitute administrator implements district instructional programs, manages day-to-day school operations, and supports faculties, families, and communities. Key qualifications include a master's degree, valid administrator certification, instructional leadership skills, and at least four years of teaching experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous service in an Administrator role (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.) required. (Former Cy Fair Administrator experience preferred.)
- Master's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university required;
- Valid, appropriate standard administrator certification for the assignment; Instructional Leadership Development; certified training for teacher appraisal or eligible for such preferred;
- A minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher; and
- Visionary leadership in administration to work with faculties, families, and communities of the 21st century.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
SALARY: $200/day - $350/day depending on assignment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Provide temporary coverage in an administrator position (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.).
- Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day to day basis.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
