Substitute - Administrator 2025-2026 at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District summary:

This role involves providing temporary administrative coverage in educational leadership positions such as Principal or Assistant Principal. The substitute administrator implements district instructional programs, manages day-to-day school operations, and supports faculties, families, and communities. Key qualifications include a master's degree, valid administrator certification, instructional leadership skills, and at least four years of teaching experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Previous service in an Administrator role (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.) required. (Former Cy Fair Administrator experience preferred.)
  2. Master's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university required;
  3. Valid, appropriate standard administrator certification for the assignment; Instructional Leadership Development; certified training for teacher appraisal or eligible for such preferred;
  4. A minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher; and
  5. Visionary leadership in administration to work with faculties, families, and communities of the 21st century.
  6. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
SALARY:
$200/day - $350/day depending on assignment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Provide temporary coverage in an administrator position (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.).
  2. Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day to day basis.
  3. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
