Job Description
We have a client in Culver City seeking a temporary Staff Accountant to support their Accounting Team.
This role is 100% onsite!
Pay is $35/hr-$40/hr DOE
Hours are 9-5pm Monday-Friday
Duties:
Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness that all costs, assets and lease accounting, etc. are properly recorded.
Conduct monthly account balance reconciliation and prepare the financial statement and analysis reports for the parent company.
Handle daily payment activities, including invoice coding, management and processing.
Manage cash flow, prepare weekly cash reports and the monthly funding plan.
Collaborate closely with procurement to ensure smooth procurement procedures, budget management and payment processing.
Review employee reimbursement applications and provide clarification on the travel policy.
Manage assets records and create assets in SAP, ensuring the accurate data, journal entries and classification (eg. owner of the asset, location code, asset number and cost center, etc.
Work closely with admin department to manage and reconcile the corporate credit card.
Collaborate with HR department by reviewing, reconciling and recording the payroll related activities and employee benefits.
Maintain and review of vendor information, including banking, ACH, Form W9s. Prepare year-end 1099 form filing.
Assist in budget preparation, management and variance analysis.
Provide data to the tax preparer to complete quarterly income tax estimation.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the accounting manager and general manager, including accounting-related work and business-related tasks.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or other business related fields (eg. Economics, Management, etc.)
Experience with monthly closing and financial reporting.
Strong working knowledge of key business processes (order to collect, procure to pay, fixed assets, financial close, etc.)
Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong communications skills for working with other teams and business partners.
Advanced knowledge of excel (pivot tables, v-lookup)
