Caterpillar Inc. seeks Sr. Electronic Systems Verification/Validation Engineer at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Drive, Chillicothe, Illinois 61523. Perform complex analysis work, identify, and solve problems. Clarify product requirements and ensure alignment with appropriate stakeholders. Organize and facilitate FMEAs or functional/performance/behavior analysis. Assist in the creation of validation plans and define acceptance criteria. Evaluate existing validations controls, standard test procedures for effective risk mitigation. Execute and/or coordinate execution of product tests. Analyze test results and summarize conclusions. Document test conclusions with traceability. Track product development issues to completion. Communicate technical information to team members and other business units. Generate and present accurate reports for validation thoroughness, status, and results. Innovate for efficiency. REQS: This position requires a master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science or a related field and 3 Years of engineering experience in software verification and validation or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science or a related field and 5 years of engineering experience in software verification and validation or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Communication networks, CAN, Datalink, MATLAB, and HIL systems; (2) Hardware in Loop (HIL) test; (3) Telematics/Connectivity; (4) Version management tools including GIT HUB and Plastic SCM; and (5) Software Model based development (using MATLAB/Simulink) and Python scripts.
