Messier and Associates, Inc. is currently hiring for a Safety Coordinator with a Commercial Drivers License

Do you have experience training and mentoring other drivers? Are you customer service driven? Is safety important to you? If you are these things there is a place for you at Messier and Associates.

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday with Saturdays if needed included being on call if an accident/incident occurs

Pay:  Will be commensurate to experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Regularly communicates safety expectations and goals to all employees/drivers
• Conducts and documents jobsite visits. Meeting with new drivers, doing ride along training, meeting with jobsite foreman, building relationships with clients and having a presence.
• Assisting Human Resources with driver meetings and inviting guest speakers
• Training new drivers which includes (Road Test, Class Room, Onsite Training, Yard Training, etc.)
• Completing all training paperwork and making sure documentation is turned into Human Resources in a timely manner
• Assisting Human Resources in accident/incident investigations including investigating to find the root cause of why the accident/incident occurred
• Handling OSHA Logs and making sure they are filed in a timely manner.
• Conducting weekly reviews of the drivers trucks to make sure they are following policies of clean cab policies
• Reviewing safety data on a daily basis and coaches employees on specific safety issues
• Completes any other task that may be assigned

Preferred Qualification:

• Must possess a CDL in good standing
• Must have had Safety experience in a trucking company previously
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Must be proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
• Customer Service experience
• Team Player

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States
• Stable work history with past history and references available
• Must submit to all DOT background requirements
