Job Description

This position is responsible for a wide range of welding jobs such as Carbide Dressing Hard Banding Hard facing Saw welding and general fabrication works.

Essential Functions:

• Perform all work safely and in accordance with the Companys HSE policies and procedures. Setup/run RT & UT Quality Vessel Weld Processes
• 3 (GMAW FCAW GTAW).
• Setup/run RT Quality Pipe Weld All Positions (6G).
• Setup/run UT Quality Nozzle Welds All positions (6G).
• Setup/run Carbon Arc Gouging.
• Able to make any UT or RT Weld Repair.
• Clean and stamp all welds.
• Setup/run all structural noncode welds.
• Know how to run all welding equipment.
• Ability to read drawings WPSs/PQRs.
• Ability to lead others and plan ahead.
• Good Knowledge of PT MT UT RT methods.
• Ability to make correct decisions.
• Speed of accomplishing tasks.
• Ability to work safely.
• Average Percent of weld repairs <0.5%.

Qualifications :

Necessary qualifications skills and abilities:

• A High School diploma is required.
• Should have at least 2 years of specific work experience.
• Must possess necessary licenses certificates and registrations to safely perform the functions of a welder.
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools specific to welding.
• Must be a detail oriented selfstarter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff management customers and vendors.
• Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.

Additional qualifications skills and abilities:

Successful completion of onboarding prerequisites:

• Background screening including a review of driving records.
• Possession of a valid drivers license.
• Full clearance of a medical examination which includes drug screening physical assessment and fitness for duty evaluation.

Physical demands and work environment:

• Ability to gather analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to work around moving machinery
• Ability to perform under stress under pressure and/or in emergency situations.
• Lift carry and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
• Operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Ability to walk on uneven ground (gravel rocks mounds ice)
• Wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat steeltoed safety shoes hearing protection respirators safety glasses goggles and full body harness.
• Frequently stand walk stoop kneel carry push/pull reach and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders stairs scaffolding and/or ramps while carrying tools requiring a reasonable degree of physical stamina and agility and involving moderate to severe physical exertion
• Operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (Cold or Heat)
• Ability to multitask work in a fastpaced environment meet deadlines reason logically and make sound decisions.
• Ability to comprehend remember and follow verbal and written directions and comply with Company policies procedures and standard.
• Ability to work in hazardous conditions (dust/gas/fumes/steam/chemicals)
• Ability to work at heights (scaffolding or ladders)
• Exposure to vibration (oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body)
• Ability to work in noisy environments
