Direct message the job poster from COGENT DATA SOLUTIONS LLC Experience: 15+years Client Name: Maryland Judiciary (STATE OF MARYLAND) Job Location: Annapolis, MD - (Hybrid - 2 days remote and 3 days onsite) Job Requirement: Bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate degree, in engineering, computer science, or related field (as determined by the AOC). Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). The certification must be issued by Red Hat. The certification may be either current or non-current, provided that the certification ID is supplied and in valid status for the proposed resource. Qualifications: Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator. Ten (10) or more years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems. Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field. Scope of work: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, testing, and production environments. Performing system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure compliance with industry standards. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency. Implementing automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration tasks. Configuring and maintaining Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ecosystem tools. Collaborating with security teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies. Maintaining and optimizing storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Supporting application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based deployments. Maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Participating in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required. Setup Network File Server (NFS) and mount points. Configuring Chron jobs for both systems and applications.
