Volt is hiring for a Quality Control Lead/Supervisor for a food manufacturing company in Irvine, CA.

As a Quality Control Lead/Supervisor , you will:

  • Supervise daily tasks of QC Technicians and assign responsibilities based on production needs
  • Conduct in-line inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product evaluations
  • Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Monitor and enforce GMP compliance across all departments
  • Perform sensory evaluations of raw materials and finished goods
  • Assist in maintaining and verifying BRC Food Safety & Quality Systems
  • Conduct internal audits for certifications.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Packaging teams to integrate QA protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, sanitation records, and training activities
  • Train QC and production staff on food safety procedures and company policies

This is a full-time opportunity with cross-functional responsibilities and potential weekend hours.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–4 years of quality control experience in food manufacturing (leadership experience preferred)
  • Food Science degree (required)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
  • Working knowledge of BRC, GMPs, HACCP, GFSI; HACCP certification preferred
  • Experience with food safety documentation, testing methods, and sensory evaluation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a production environment
  • Comfortable with technology and software systems

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25–26 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, location, job duties, and certifications.
