The Program Psychiatrist leads, manages, and supervises the medical team and assures the highest quality of patient care at the lowest cost, including comprehensive evaluations, patient consultations, and medication management to an ethnically diverse patient population. The Program Psychiatrist works directly with the Clinical Director and the Nurse Practitioner to support a true multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.

Program Psychiatrist Salary Range: $200-$250 hourly

The Nautilus Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized care for adolescents and adults seeking treatment for mental health and substance use disorder. Our approach integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, holistic approaches, and experiential therapies to support each client's unique journey towards recovery.

Program Psychiatrist Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative oversight of the facility’s medical services.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Nurse Practitioner in the development and maintenance of written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organization plan, and quality assurance program for medical services, and review of all medical policies and procedures at least annually.
  • Ensure that medical services are coordinated and integrated with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client.
  • Ensure that the facility complies with required medical staffing patterns.
  • Provide supervision, consultation, and peer review of the facility’s physicians or nurse practitioners.
  • Maintain and enhance the highest standards of health care delivery to all patients.

Program Psychiatrist Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted MD or DO in Psychiatry and licensed in the State of Massachusetts.
  • ASAM/ABAM certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mental health and/or substance use preferred.
