The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in supporting physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to patients. This position involves assisting with patient treatment plans, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and ensuring a positive experience for patients undergoing rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of various patient demographics, including geriatrics and orthopedics.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
• Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions by monitoring equipment and surroundings.
• Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow in the clinic.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, orthopedics, inpatient care, or acute care settings is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of physiology to support treatment processes effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and support for individuals undergoing rehabilitation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
