Orendorff Studios, LLC in York, PA is looking for Photography Assistants to join our Staffing Pool for our Youth Sports Photo Day sessions.

Job Summary:

The Photography Assistant supports the smooth execution of Photo Day events for youth sports teams. This role involves assisting with logistics, ensuring an efficient workflow, providing customer service, and creating a fun and positive experience for athletes, parents, and coaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with setting up photo stations, including lights, backdrops, and equipment.
• Organize and arrange props or accessories as required.
• Ensure all materials are securely packed and accounted for after the event.
• Posing Assistant - Utilize the handheld scanner to scan the subject's barcode on their photo slip. Provide clear instructions to athletes, parents, and coaches to obtain the proper positioning for their respective Sports Pose choice/option. 
• Camera/Laptop Assistant - Confirm the subject(s) are looking at the camera and use the wireless trigger to take the photos. Ensure the lights fire properly and take additional photos as needed.

Qualifications: Age 18 or older preferred

Experience:

Previous experience in customer service, event assistance, or youth sports is preferred. Photography experience a plus, but not required. 

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children.
• Basic knowledge of photography equipment (preferred but not required).
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable standing, walking, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching in a fast paced environment.

Transportation:

• Must have reliable transportation to/from Photo Day job locations.

Work Environment:

The Photography Assistant will work in dynamic, fast-paced environments such as gymnasiums, recreation centers, or other indoor community venues. The role involves frequent interaction with a diverse group of participants and requires strict adherence to tight schedules and the ability to thrive in a busy atmosphere.

Availability:

Flexible schedules with availability on weekday late afternoons, early evenings and some weekends.
