Qualifications:
✔ 2+ years retail experience (pet retail is a big plus!)

✔ Provide top notch customer service and be a team player

✔ Able to lift up to 40 lbs
✔ High school diploma or GED required
✔ Must be reliable and punctual — we count on each other to show up on time

This position's work schedule will be:

Tuesdays:  10 am to 6:15 pm

Wednesdays: 10 am to 6:15 pm

Thursdays: 10 am to 6:15 pm

Fridays: 10 am to 6:15 pm

Saturdays: 10 am to 6:15 pm

Primary Duties - (in approximate order of priority)

• Engage with our customers in a positive, polite and professional manner.
• Advise our customers, as appropriate to their needs and objectives, on our product offerings (we will train you first) .
• Accurately process sales transactions.
• Book grooming appointments.
• Open and/or close the register and the store.
• Receive inventory shipments accurately and timely (tedious attention to detail).
• Stock shelves neatly and timely (a good workout - up to 40-pound dog food bags).
• Face shelves - keep them looking good.
• Prepare and receive inventory transfers between our shops.
• Count inventory.
• Monitor for and manage out-of-date merchandise.
• Help keep storeroom clean and organized.
• Help keep storefront clean and organized.
• Help with laundry - we use a lot of towels in grooming and self wash.
• Monitor for and promptly report maintenance issues to management.
• Clean and sanitize self wash stations.
• Help with promotions/display setups.

Secondary Duties -

• Complete our initial basic training and ongoing continuous learning on the job in pet nutrition and the benefits of our products.
• Cash register is part of the job, but this is not a job where you primarily stand behind a cash register.
• Assist in carrying out merchandise for customers who need our help.
