Job Description
We are an energetic faith-based performing and visual arts organization seeking a highly motivated and friendly individual that is qualified to operate our 501c nonprofit organization based in the heart of majestic Glen Rose, Texas. We are entering our 11th year and season at Training Ground Studios and are overjoyed to experience our studio's growth with the right person at the helm to operate it in a healthy and productive manner. As the studio's operational manager, you will need to be confident in your own abilities to hold this position. Experience and proficiency in various administrative skills, customer service, and overseeing special projects and events is a must. Admin skills- Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Canva, and Wix. We use a specific software program called Dance Studio Pro to organize our client’s accounts. As the first impressionist face of TGS during our classes on Mondays and Tuesdays (occasionally on Thursdays) having a pleasant disposition towards customers, our parents and students, in particular, is key!

We will initially train you up as an intern, before officially bringing on board as our manager. This will allow time to ensure that you are enthusiastic about our organization’s vision, mission, and growth. We are community minded and would love for you to catch our vision of redeeming the visual and performing arts (Dance, Vocal, Theatre, Acrobats) We believe there is great value in our artistic expression which this profession genuinely assists our students in finding their voice.
Working knowledge and/or experience in the creative arts is not necessary, but highly recommended. We are seeking someone with strong aspirations to interject their skillsets from a managerial position, since achieving continual growth is vital to our studio's ability to reach more families who are seeking exactly what our studio, TGS, offers. As you help us grow and you grow in this managerial by effectively leading our studio's administrative needs, there will be a myriad of opportunities for you to explore your creative talents as well.
During our regularly scheduled classes in the fall and spring, the Studio manager will split their time to work from home once a week and at the studio 2-3 evenings.
Monday-Tuesday at the studio 2:30-7:30pm as the First impressions/Office manager.
Wednesday from home. Keep our DSP accounts updated and inventory organized. Handle communications via email, phone calls, and texts.
Thursday at the studio (contingent on our studio’s enrollment)
We are off on Friday-Sunday, minus a few specials - Christmas parade/booth, annual ‘Step it Up’ nonprofit benefit, Spring Showcase and Summer production.
