Catholic Health System is actively seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner for coverage at the Sisters Infusion Center in Depew, NY.
Job Summary The Infusion Center Nurse Practitioner functions as an independent health care provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, is responsible for coordinating comprehensive care in an outpatient setting through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluation. He/She demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses including oncology patients. He/She is responsible for assessment, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patient during treatments. He/She is responsible for any infusion order clarifications from CHS or Non-CHS providers that refer patients to the infusion center as it related to hospital policy and pharmacy state and federal regulations. He/She works collaboratively with the pharmacy department regarding any order clarifications and is responsible for compliance with all hospital-based regulations. The Nurse Practitioner demonstrates an advanced level of medical/nursing, oncology clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional practice. He/She works with administrative, nursing, and physicians to assure safe, effective, quality patient care and to promote Catholic Health’s mission, vision and values. In addition, he/she has a strong understanding of the business end, including but not limited to oncology billing and coding.
