ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Painter at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a premier facility with four major venues within one giant park including NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. The Painter will join the Maintenance team and perform work painting, finishing, and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks often requiring heavy lifting and physical exertion. The Painter acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring client requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to. Responsibilities include painting various surfaces, preparing surfaces for painting, operating and maintaining painting equipment, safely storing materials, interpreting building codes, following preventive maintenance programs, recording work performed, promoting a safe working environment, working at heights, and submitting repair lists. Qualifications include knowledge of painting, carpentry, building hardware maintenance, shop math, operational procedures, ability to interpret drawings and work orders, adherence to safety and facility policies, ability to perform manual labor under various conditions, forklift safety, flexibility in work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Education required is a High School diploma or GED with three years related experience or equivalent in painting with latex and oil-based materials. Skills include reliability, productivity, ability to meet deadlines, effective communication, independent judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include standing for long hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights. A valid US motor vehicle license is required. The position may require work inside or outside the building as needed by events.
