Job Description

Christ Panos Foods is looking for a detailed oriented, highly motivated individual to join our Procurement team. The buyer will be responsible for regular daily buying replenishment to meet service level goals and manage inventory. The buyer will work closely with Vendors and Category Managers to ensure our customers have the right product at the right price. The ideal candidate has purchasing prior purchasing experience, preferably food, and is highly organized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Responsible for daily replenishment buying of assigned vendors; maintaining expected service and inventory levels

•Process purchasing orders in timely manner

•Regularly review current and new item forecasting and profiling for seasonality

•Complete vendor price changes and market pricing to maximize profitability

•Work with Category Manager or broker of slow-moving items and category duplications

•Order samples as needed

•Daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring and preparation of assigned reporting

•Performs timely maintenance: new vendors, lost business, etc.

•Reports damaged product to vendor

•Confirmation of purchase orders and pricing

•Maintains contact with transportation team to manage late deliveries

•Accurate GTIN's, IFDA, and commodity codes

•Maintain vendor relationship

•Other duties as assigned

Requirements

•Minimum associates degree or higher in a related field or two to three years of experience in a similar role

•Detailed oriented, organized, team oriented, and willingness to learn

•Ability to calculate and understand basic math concepts, fractions, ratios, discounts, interest, etc.

•Able to work in office full time, no remote work available
