Job Purpose

Design safe and efficient processes for Main Assembly and Sub-Assemblies for the AF Department. Use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize production functions

Key Accountabilities 

• Use M.O.S.T. to develop balanced processes across AF manufacturing areas. Work to achieve Maximum Process Efficiency. Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques. Design processes that are simple and achieve SQCDM targets.

• Perform time estimates for process/line work, equipment loads, and develop operation standards for the AF Department during development

• Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.

• Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.

•Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.

• Collect feedback from the production floor in AF and address their concerns.

• Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data

 

Minimum Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent related experience.

Minimum Experience 0-2 years relevant experience

Other Job-Specific Skills Excel VBA, Standard Time Evaluation, Workstation Design, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Customer Service, PDD

Key Performance Indicators

  • Maximize Process Efficiency.
  • Independently complete complex studies and present the results (i.e manpower requirements)
  • Ability to propose Cost/MP reductions by leading theme teams effectively
  • Minimize loss designed into processes.
  • Train lower-level associates on Dept Process requirements and techniques
  • 0 injuries, 0 quality concerns within area of responsibility.
