Job Description

This position will manage the Scheduling Team to optimize customer delivery routing while considering on-time delivery, plant capacity, and total cost utilizing Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and other systems. This is a critical leadership role with direct impact of plant performance, customer service and overall Logistics cost for the business. Leveraging analytical problem solving skills and helping others develop these skills will be paramount to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage transportation routing to achieve an optimal balance between customer on time delivery, plant capacity and cost
• Assure team members achieve timely release of routing decisions and resolve time critical issues
• Oversee project management and execution of team initiatives and commitments to support strategic objectives
• Develop and enhance relationships with customer service and manufacturing operations
• Cultivate innovation and drive cost and service improvement initiatives to meet company goals through analytics
• Utilize lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies to identify opportunities and implement solutions
• Support and maintain a cohesive team environment while driving execution of the business
• Manage and develop employees to ensure departmental goals are achieved
• Ensure logistics organization meets its goals related to service, product damage, budget and continuous improvement
• Leverage advanced analytics to deeply understand changes in the business environment and root causes to problems

Organizational Relationship

Position reports to Senior Manager Scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Business or related field strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Logistics/Transportation Management, including TMS systems
• Proven use of complex analytics
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Oracle Analytics, etc. is preferred
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Lean/Six Sigma training and/or certification preferred
• ISM/APICS certification preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Up to 10% travel required
