Job Description

As a Mail Sorter, you will be responsible for mail processing and ensuring mail is correctly sorted, accurately documented, and palletized for final processing. In this position, you will play a key role in checking and maintaining the quality of our finished products.

Responsibilities

• QC check postal paperwork and tray tags to product to ensure the
  information matches
• Remove product from conveyor and verify that sorted mail is put in proper trays and accurately tagged according to proper destination
• Strap and palletize trays as per instructions
• Ensure that sorted mail is stacked correctly on pallet
• Upon completion of QC check, follow the required notification procedures to have the product removed from the line
• Maintain a clean and neat work area (move this to the last bullet with other priority tasks higher on the bulleted list)
• Work with and assist the Operator to ensure all pulls are accounted for and support the Operator function; when necessary, following and understanding the quality control requirements
• Follow all safety procedures required for this position
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED a plus
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• This position requires to stand; walk; push/pull/reach and must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on occasion
• Must have flexibility to work days and nights
• Must be able to work 12 hours shift
