Elmwood Park, IL Immediate openings for LPNs to work with medically-fragile children in school (pre-K thru HS). Our assignments are in NW Chicago, Norridge, Melrose Park, and nearby suburban towns. Care may include g-tube, seizure management, or diabetes education. Training may be provided depending on your skills and experience. We are hiring enthusiastic nurses who like kids and are looking for full or part-time work. Nurses working with our pediatric and school nursing program find it to be a rich and rewarding experience in the development of their careers. Responsibilities

• Implement plan of care and treatment using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process
• Prepare, administer, and appropriately document actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications.
• Observe, reports, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the school nurse
• Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency
• G-tube, seizure management, diabetes education a plus.

• Graduated from National League of Nursing accredited practical or vocational school of nursing
• Unencumbered license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in Illinois
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray
