Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill a position as a LIGHT EQUIPMENT SERVICER/MAINTENANCE MECHANIC based out of the Gallatin Quarry in Gallatin, TN , who will perform routine servicing and light maintenance/repairs on a wide variety of quarry and mining equipment. Throughout the northern MTN, servicing Whites creek, REOstone, Gallatin, Cross Plains, and Gordonsville.

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under company safety policies and practices.
\n
• Minimum of three years of experience working on equipment.
\n
• Ability to change oil, change filters, take oil samples, complete sample documentation, and submit for analysis.
\n
• Ability plan maintenance in a coordinated method that doesn't interfere with production schedule.
\n
• Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
\n
• Perform routine scheduled maintenance on mining and quarry equipment.
\n
• Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
\n
• Assist Heavy Equipment Mechanic with larger maintenance projects and repairs as needed
\n
• Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
\n
• Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
\n
• Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
\n
• Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
\n
• Weekend work/overtime may be required.
\n
• Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist and lift 70lbs.
\n
• Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet
\n
• Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
\n
• Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
\n
• Must have a valid DOT health card, or be able to obtain.
\n
