Job Description
Wilson Elser’s White Plains office currently seeks a part-time Legal Nurse Consultant to work up to 27 hours a week. Candidates who wish to work remotely from home are encouraged to apply.

The Position
Qualifications
•Legal Nurse Consultant certification (LNCC via the AALNC preferred)
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Demonstrated proficiency in medical and damages analyses
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously
•Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite platforms
•Occasional travel to the White Plains office may be required
Responsibilities
•Identify, organize and analyze pertinent medical records
•Prepare a chronology, timeline or other comprehensive summaries of documentation in medical records
•Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
•Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses
•Conduct medical literature searches and assist in other research
•Work with attorneys to evaluate case strengths and weaknesses
•Evaluate causation and damages issues
•Educate attorneys and clients regarding relevant medical issues
•Locate or prepare demonstrative evidence for trial
•Assist with preparation for and support during deposition, trial or ADR

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. The expected hourly salary range for this position is $55 to $60. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
