Due to business growth, we are excited to add a Legal Counsel to our team at our Lebanon, Ohio Development Center! This role will provide general day-to-day support for operational legal matters of the MANE Group entities in North America, in compliance with the MANE Group corporate policy. Provide legal services and counsel, draft, review, and negotiate business contracts, protecting MANE Group interests and ensuring compliance primarily with US laws and regulations, and with applicable laws and regulations worldwide as applicable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exercise good judgment, applying the law to business to achieve outstanding results while managing risk.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate cross-border commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and other third parties, e.g. commercial transactions, subcontracting services, confidentiality agreements, consulting services, distribution and commercial representation agreements.
  • Provide reliable and practical legal advice with respect to risk management in all aspects of the business.
  • Identify risks and propose solutions to complete business transactions.
  • Support corporate governance, including drafting and managing corporate documentation, and internal documentation management.
  • Ensure legal and intellectual property security, forwarding any labor law-related, tax law-related, patent law-related, and trademark law-related matters to the appropriate internal contacts.
  • Collaborate in regional and global legal and IP projects and reporting.
  • Assist in the draft and implementation of policies of legal & IP nature.
  • Suggest work process improvements.
  • Perform the above responsibilities with reasonable autonomy.
  • Complete additional work tasks, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed as an attorney, qualified to practice law in Ohio and be in good standing.
  • 2-4 years as an in-house legal counsel in a multinational company.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Expertise and experience in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting domestic and international business contracts.
  • Fluent in English and proficient in common office software.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with a proactive and ethical mindset
