Job Description: Junior Project Manager/Project Coordinator

Position Details:

Role Type: 12 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Location: Mossville, IL (Hybrid)

Pay: $30.00-$35.00/HR W2

Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Junior Project Manager to facilitate the management of engine performance, validation, and certification testing across multiple teams and approximately 20 test cells. The incumbent will play a crucial role in orchestrating work allocation, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and generating essential reports to support customer commitments. The position requires familiarity with established processes and the ability to integrate seamlessly into the existing workflow.

Responsibilities:

Task Management:

• Collaborate with various teams to outline testing tasks for each test cell.
• Add and organize tasks for new testing assignments.
• Establish and maintain predecessor/successor relationships for task dependencies.
• Manage the allocation and reassignment of existing tasks across different test cells.

Reporting:

• Generate a variety of reports to provide insights into project progress and resource utilization.

Process Adherence:

• Ensure strict adherence to existing processes governing project coordination and management.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 2-4 years of Project management experience
• Proficiency in MS Project for task management, including adding tasks and editing predecessor/successor relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Exceptional multitasking abilities to manage simultaneous projects and tasks.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in project execution.
• Willingness to follow established processes and protocols.
• Onsite availability to facilitate seamless coordination with project teams.

Nice-to-Have / Strongly Prefer:

• Experience in project management within manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with MS Project Center (e.g., Project Online) for enhanced project management capabilities.
• Knowledge of utilizing Custom Fields in MS Project for tailored project tracking.
• Understanding of Waterfall methodology and duration-based planning for project execution.
