Remote - based Pacific or Mountain Time (MT) Netnumber, Inc has an immediate opening for a Junior Network System Engineer . This is an exciting entry‑level role within the Netnumber Global Support team focusing on learning about and supporting existing and new infrastructure. The candidate will assist with deploying, monitoring and supporting Netnumber infrastructure and software applications. The candidate will learn best practices, automation, and optimizations for the infrastructure while working closely with architects, software engineers, network engineers, data engineers and operations/support engineers. This is a hands‑on, learning‑focused position in a fast‑paced, customer‑oriented environment. Job Responsibilities Assists in providing customer service to internal and external customers Helps resolve customer issues under supervision Processes straightforward customer cases while adhering to service level agreements Supports the team in documenting incidents and service requests Learns and follows industry standards and organizational security policies Participates in network‑related projects as part of a team Assists in implementation, administration and support activities for infrastructure technologies Develops professional relationships with peers and stakeholders Works collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment Learns cybersecurity functions including review of alerts and vulnerabilities Communicates issues to senior team members when appropriate Develops ability to organize daily activities based on directions and procedures Learns to manage multiple tasks effectively Observes and participates in Root Cause Analysis sessions Assists with method and procedures (MOP) documentation Performs other entry‑level duties as requested May participate in a paid 24/7 on‑call schedule with appropriate supervision Requirements 0–2 years of experience in networking or related technical field Associate degree or pursuing a BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Basic understanding of network design and troubleshooting concepts Familiarity with network security concepts including firewalls and VPNs Basic knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Working knowledge of scripting (e.g., basic Python, Bash) Comfortable using Terminal/CLI for basic operations Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches) Good communication skills with willingness to learn and ask questions Eager to learn and grow in a technical environment #J-18808-Ljbffr netnumber
