Summary DLA Piper is seeking an associate to join its private equity group. As a private equity associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a Chambers-rated and growing practice across industries. You will get to work with partners on a broad range of matters for a variety of clients. This position is open to the Chicago office.
Education Bar Admission - Admitted to practice in Illinois.
Responsibilities - Represent middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Experience - Minimum 3 years of transactional law experience.
- Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment Hybrid with some in-office expectations
