Four Star Freightliner is the Southeast region’s leading heavy and medium duty truck dealer that offers a complimentary line of Freightliner and Western Star brand trucks for both highway and vocational use. We are seeking an IT Director to join our team.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Handling PC hardware issues and printer issues
• Troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems
• Setting up and maintaining user desktop environments
• Managing help desk tickets
• Troubleshooting all desktop and laptop computers for the company across 6 stores
• Traveling to assist at other dealership locations
• Setting up phones, workstations, printers and fax at remote location
• Having comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware and software installation, repair, testing and troubleshooting
• Monitor and maintain company security system for all locations
• Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
• Be confident and actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
• Able to work and complete tasks without being micro managed
• Leading a team of IT 

Job Requirements

• Be a proactive problem solver
• Work flexible hours including some weekends
• Overnight travel
• Work well with other people
• Knowledgeable in PCs/MACs
• Expert in Microsoft Office products
• Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows PCs, including registry, driver installation and NTFS permissions
• Must possess the ability to learn new technologies and pass IT certifications if required
• Maintain a detailed inventory of the organization’s computer related equipment

Preferred experience

• Linux server installation and maintenance preferred
• Switch and router configurations, including Cisco, Ubiquiti and MikroTik
• Previous Leadership/Management experience Plus

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years experience
