Background

We are seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support the marketing team. This internship provides hands-on experience in branding, digital design, and marketing communications. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Brand, you will play a key role in shaping the brand’s visual identity through compelling graphics, presentation and storytelling. This paid internship requires in-person attendance two days per week in the Greater Detroit area. Opening Timing - We are flexible based on school calendar; we are targeting May - August.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Graphic & Marketing Collateral Development

• Design branded content for social media, email marketing, sales presentations, and trade show materials.
• Assist in developing infographics, reports, and brochures to support the marketing and sales teams.
• Ensure all designs align with Emotiv’s brand guidelines and visual identity.

Presentation & Document Design

• Create and refine PowerPoint and Word templates for internal and external communications.
• Enhance sales proposals, case studies, and pitch decks with compelling visual storytelling.

Digital & Web Design Support

• Assist in designing graphics for web pages, blog posts, and online campaigns.
• Support email templates, landing pages, and banner ads as needed.
• Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices to ensure fresh, engaging content.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Work closely with marketing leadership and external agency partners to execute design projects.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts and campaign ideas.
• Provide creative input on branding and messaging strategy.

Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or Canva.
• Experience with PowerPoint and Word for presentation and document design.
• Bonus: Experience designing for social media and sales materials.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• A proactive mindset and curiosity about new design trends, tools, and technologies.
