Robert Half is looking for a Corporate Counsel to join a global legal team in the northern suburbs. This role involves providing expert legal guidance and support to various business units within a global manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial law and excel at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Offer legal counsel and advice on complex commercial, product, and technical matters to stakeholders across the organization.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals within the company to address cross-divisional issues, including sales and regional matters.
• Provide specialized support in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, intellectual property, litigation, and compliance.
• Participate in organizational initiatives requiring legal representation and input.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency in legal processes and support functions.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel to address specific projects and initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (Law Degree) and active license to practice law.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general commercial law.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrated integrity, initiative, and adaptability in handling diverse legal challenges.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing deadlines.
• Flexibility to work across different time zones and support global operations.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
