Position Summary

Provides maintenance and facilities support for manufacturing site and equipment used in the manufacture of umbilicals for oil and gas industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Performs and documents monthly and annual inspections of equipment and building systems.
•Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots, and completes basic repair on facility HVAC systems, plumbing, and other general maintenance of the facility.
•May assist the facility or production maintenance technicians with preventative maintenance and repairs of other facility or production equipment.
•Use electrical, refrigeration and other schematics to perform inspection, repairs and possibly install of HVAC systems.
•Use all required power tools, hand tools, and different testing, and precision-measuring instruments to perform inspection and repair of HVAC systems.
•Use Peoplesoft to update work orders.
•While performing daily tasks apply all related HSE policy and procedures.
•At times wear fall protection gear and operate aerial and forklift.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

•High school diploma or GED.
•At least 3 years of previous facility maintenance experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical.
•Able to navigate in computer for needed equipment files or documentation.Working knowledge of MS365, Word, Excel and Outlook experience preferred.
•Working experience maintaining and repairing heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and other related systems such as electrical systems, heat pumps, and chillers.
•Possess certification in refrigerant transition and recovery.
•Possess county air conditioning mechanic license or its equivalent.
•Possess valid driver's license.
•Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, crouching, push/pull objects, etc.
•Ability to work with manual or power tools and operate motorized vehicles.
•Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended period.
•Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions, including adverse weather conditions.
•Strong knowledge of the methods, practices, test instruments, tools, and materials typically applied in repairing and servicing various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and other similar equipment.
•Strong knowledge of the hazards involved in the occupation, and the safety precautions to take.
•Strong knowledge of the repair characteristics and mechanical operation of various types of air conditioning and refrigerating equipment.
•Strong knowledge and use of computer software and equipment.
•Ability to effectively file work orders and write reports.
•Strong ability and skill to diagnose, locate, and fix defects in refrigeration and air conditioning systems/units and similar equipment quickly and correctly.
•Strong ability to understand complex written and verbal instructions, as well as simple sketches and diagrams, and carry them out accurately.
•Strong knowledge of the practices and principles for effective preventive maintenance of HVAC systems
•Strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
•Understand principles of Rapid Kaizens.
•Read, understand, and apply Maintenance Department Process Maps.
•Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics, comprehend complex drawings, specifications, and procedures.
•Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to obtain access to the work site.

DESIRED

•Prior general construction or repair experience is preferred.
•Previous working knowledge of Peoplesoft works orders.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is considered SHOP/OUTDOORS which is characterized as follows.

•Indoor/outdoor work during the day and occasionally at night.
•Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
•Humidity is frequently above 90%.
•Noise may be over 85 decibels.
•Light is intense/glare.
•Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
•Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
•Constant exposure to dust.
