Job Description

I. General Summary: Responsible for providing bilingual ( English/ Spanish) Human Resources support to Toyota Boshoku Tennessee to ensure stable team member relations, strengthen working relationships, and drive company values/culture. May provide support assistance to Safety, Security, and Training functions. I I. Essential Job Functions: A. Resolve issues and provides feedback to team member relations management through daily interaction with team members and department leaders B. Ensure fairness and consistency in the application of T B A policy and past practice C. Conduct exit interviews and discusses results with H R team D. Work with other human resources staff members to draft policies and procedures E. Ensure hiring of hourly members is standardized and compliant with company policy F. Draft and submit recommendations for terminations G. Assist with negotiating service contracts H. Assist with conducting team member opinion survey I. Analyze team member morale using information gathered through various methods J. Complete team member relations activities (communications, round table meetings, gemba walks, plantwide meetings, etc) K. Investigate, report on, and conclude internal complaints and Ethics Point matters L. Conduct various training classes related to team member relations function M. Maintain understanding and working knowledge of T B A's organization, automotive plants and processes/principles, company products, trade terminology, and manufacturing processes N. Plan, assist with, and lead T B A social activities and community relations activities O. Provide bilingual communication support (translation/interpretation) in a variety of settings for team members and candidates. This may include, but is not limited to, verbal, written, and/or electronic means. P. Crosstrain and support in absence of H R members as needed Assist with recruitment processes, benefits administration, onboarding, personnel administration, team member development, and other H R duties, as needed. I I I. Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements: Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • P H R or S P H R designation preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant human resources generalist experience with focused experience in an employee/team member relations role
  • Corporate and manufacturing setting experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and prioritize activities
  • Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks without significant supervision
  • Ability to exercise exceptional independent judgment and discretion
  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information encountered
  • Excellent project skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
  • Ability to create reports, business correspondence, and procedures
  • Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports in charts, graphs, and table format
  • Ability to maintain appropriate level of conventionality and conformance with regard to the corporate culture
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected and or continuing situations which arise in the work place
  • Must be able to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including working outside of normal business hours and outside of planned schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Language Skills: • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Computer/ Software:
  • Solid working knowledge of, and experience with, word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, database, desktop publishing, and presentation applications and/or software, preferably Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with large scale H R I S and other business enterprise systems, Oracle and Kronos experience preferred
  • Proficiency in M S Outlook, M S Word, M S Excel, M S Power Point, and M S T E A M S preferred.
I V. Work Environment/ Conditions: Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level. Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. P P E ( Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply. Travel: Must be willing to travel 0-10% of the time. V. Physical Demands: Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to travel by automobile and airplane are both required.
