Job Description

Theatre House Manager

Be the public face of the theater and help audience members during performances.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up the theater before every performance.
  • Manage the crowds as well as the ushers during Theatre Department productions. You would be the public face of the Department.
  • Train volunteer ushers, answer questions and assist audience members.
  • An interest in theatre is encouraged but not required. Prompt, dependable, and courteous team worker with strong interpersonal skills.

Note: If you take this position, you will not be able to audition or work backstage of any Theatre Department Productions.

Also Note: This position would not begin until Spring semester 2026. You will be given some hours in the Fall to shadow our current House Manager for training.

Schedule:

  • Needed for evenings (including weekends) when Theatre Department shows are being performed.
  • A complete schedule will be given after position is filled. Very few hours throughout the school year but you must be available for all the necessary hours.

Note: All hours would be in evenings or weekends.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 per Hour

Work Study Requirement: Federal or Lewis and Clark work study required
