Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.
Program Summary : Applewood Centers After School Group Therapeutic Services program provides intensive group counseling, onsite and virtually for children and adolescents between ages 7 to 18 who may be dealing with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. The groups are led by therapists and other qualified mental health providers, providing children and adolescents with opportunities to learn skills that will enable them to be more successful in different areas of their lives. Position Summary : As the Group Therapeutic Services Intern, you will work under the supervision of the After School Group Therapeutic Services Program Supervisor to provide group counseling and partial hospitalization services to clients in the After School Program. Intern Experience Details : As the Group Therapeutic Services Program Intern, you will provide the following services, including, but not limited to:Applewood Centers, Inc.
