Job Description

Maine Recycling is seeking an experienced, reliable, and team-oriented Forklift Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and overhaul our fleet of 25 forklifts and 10 power jacks.

• Troubleshooting customer equipment problems and conferring with and getting approval from the customer before making repairs
• Completing each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
• Completing and submitting all required paperwork
• Managing your workload effectively
• Following all company policies and procedures, particularly those involving safety

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Prior forklift maintenance and repair experience required.
• Strong mechanical skills and a personal drive to learn and to improve yourself and your skill sets are required.
• Strong mechanical or electrical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Exceptional analytic skills
• Attention to detail
• Possess a thorough knowledge and troubleshooting abilities of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

About the Company:

Maine Recycling currently acts as a pickup and processing agent for some of the largest beverage manufacturers in Northern New England. Our fleet of over 30 trucks and 200 trailers enables us to provide statewide pickup services for both new and existing beverage distributors in Maine. MRC currently employs 80 to 100 employees operating from our Lisbon Falls location and owns and operates Speedy Redemption in Topsham.
