Job Title: Off-Site Forklift Mechanic
Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + benefits (based on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Off-Site Forklift Mechanic to join our team. This role involves traveling to client locations to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of forklift models and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and experienced in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on forklifts and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
• Travel to customer sites within the designated service area.
• Order necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Receive and verify parts deliveries for accuracy and condition.
• Track and bill parts used for each service job accurately.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to clients and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric motors, hydraulics, and diagnostics tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Certification in forklift maintenance or related field is a plus.
