SUSS MicroTec Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Semiconductor Equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Installs new or modifies equipment at customer's facility and tests to ensure full functionality according to specifications.

· Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged products to determine the nature and scope of the problem.

· Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine the source of the problem, and complete repairs, replacement, or other corrective action.

· Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.

· Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.

· Maintains records of performance reports.

· Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.

· Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of the product.

· Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.

· Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.

· Other duties may be assigned.

The ideal candidate must have:

• A two-year degree in Engineering or Science and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ Years' experience in the semiconductor industry service support of capital equipment. Photo Lithography Steppers/Scanner experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, blue-prints and schematics, technical procedures
• An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
• Position requires up to 20% travel with a focus in the USA and will include limited international travel (mainly Germany) for training(s), unless you are a remote worker then will require 77% travel.
