Job Summary

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in assessing project requirements, providing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial painting processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment:

   • Assess project requirements, including surface conditions, size, and scopes of work.

   • Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather relevant information and specifications.

2. Cost Estimation:

   • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant factors.

   • Utilize estimating tools to ensure precision in cost calculations.

3. Proposal Development:

   • Work closely with the sales and business development teams to develop comprehensive project proposals.

   • Present cost estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

4. Client Communication:

   • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.

   • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, responding promptly to inquiries and providing clear communication throughout the estimation process. Follow up on all active opportunities.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

   • Provide regular and accurate forecasts, reports, and analyses.

   • Utilize CRM to track and manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline.

6. Market Research:

   • Stay informed about industry & client trends, pricing, and materials to ensure competitiveness in the market.

   • Analyze historical project data to refine estimating processes and improve accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Possesses the characteristics of an ideal team player – hungry, humble, and smart.

• Painting industry experience with estimating, project management, or a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial painting techniques, materials, and industry best practices.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
