Job Summary
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in assessing project requirements, providing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial painting processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Project Assessment:
Assess project requirements, including surface conditions, size, and scopes of work.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather relevant information and specifications.
Cost Estimation:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant factors.
Utilize estimating tools to ensure precision in cost calculations.
Proposal Development:
Work closely with the sales and business development teams to develop comprehensive project proposals.
Present cost estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Client Communication:
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, responding promptly to inquiries and providing clear communication throughout the estimation process. Follow up on all active opportunities.
Reporting and Analysis:
Provide regular and accurate forecasts, reports, and analyses.
Utilize CRM to track and manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline.
Market Research:
Stay informed about industry & client trends, pricing, and materials to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Analyze historical project data to refine estimating processes and improve accuracy.
Qualifications:
Possesses the characteristics of an ideal team player – hungry, humble, and smart.
Painting industry experience with estimating, project management, or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of commercial painting techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
