YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team.
  • Prepares design computations and assessments.
  • Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
  • Reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Engineer leading the design.
  • Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Engage in comprehensive communication and coordination with the Project Manager and design team regarding design issues and project-related calculations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project.
  • Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EI/EIT.
  • Experience with design of land development projects required.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
  • Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
  • Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs.
  • May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:

  • Experience with design of stormwater and flood mitigation projects preferred.
  • Experience in StormWise (previously ICPR) or other stormwater modeling software is a bonus.
  • NC residency preferred.
