Job Title: Hospice Music Volunteer – Bring Comfort Through Song

Location: Greater Twin Cities Metro – Serving 21 Counties

Position Type: Volunteer (Part-Time / Per Diem)

Responsibilities:

• Visit hospice patients in their homes, assisted living, or care communities
  
• Play soothing or familiar music using voice, guitar, piano, or other instruments
  
• Respond with empathy and adapt to each patient’s emotional and cultural needs
  
• Provide quiet companionship and comfort—sometimes through silence, sometimes through song
  
• Observe and communicate meaningful moments to the hospice team
  
• Participate in initial training and ongoing support meetings
  

Ideal Candidates:

• Have a heart for the elderly, seriously ill, and their loved ones
  
• Can play or sing music that brings peace, joy, or emotional release
  
• Are sensitive, reliable, and respectful of end-of-life environments
  
• Are comfortable traveling up to 35 miles for patient visits
  
• Want to be part of something bigger—a movement to redefine hospice with humanity and grace
