Ethicon has been shaping the future of surgery for more than 100 years - from the first sutures to today's minimally invasive solutions. The Director, PMO - Global Project Planning will lead a high-impact team that drives timely, compliant, and cost-effective New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Life Cycle Management projects across our global wound closure portfolio. This is an E2E role with broad influence across Technology, R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Supply Chain.

Role summary

You will direct a multi-location team of Managers and Senior Managers responsible for project planning and execution. You'll ensure projects deliver on scope, schedule, budget and quality while strengthening planning capability, improving supply chain performance, and enabling faster speed-to-market for innovations that improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a global planning team accountable for NPI and Life Cycle project planning and delivery.
  • Build E2E planning capabilities and coach leaders to improve supply chain effectiveness.
  • Drive performance versus key metrics such as On-Time Launch, Inventory, SLOB, OTIF-D and Cost.
  • Partner across functions (Global Technology, R&D, Regulatory, External Ops, Manufacturing, Commercial, IT, Inventory, Strategic Capacity) to remove roadblocks and enable decisions.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and recovery plans to portfolio governance, IBP and platform leadership.
  • Identify service risks and implement mitigation/recovery actions; align short- and long-term capacity and inventory strategies with business needs.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in supply chain (Make, Source, Plan or Delivery) within healthcare/medical device industries required.
  • Minimum 5 years people leadership experience; global leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience working across operations and commercial teams. Project planning experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise managing complex data sets and large product portfolios - exceptional attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of planning processes, systems and reporting.
  • Excellent communicator: clear, persuasive written and oral skills; able to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborator with demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
